What are human emotional needs? Why do we have them and what makes them so important?
In this episode John talks about an essential aspect of human happiness that most of us are totally unaware of. Listen to find out:
- Why having emotional needs is essential for your survival
- How unmet needs play havoc with your emotions
- Who is ultimately responsible for your needs
- Why trying to get other people to meet our needs doesn't work
"When we take care of our own emotional needs, we are able to be with our partner, not because we need them, but because we want them. And isn't that so much more romantic!"

Hi I just wanted to comment on the emotional needs podcast, which I found very informative. In a nutshell it states that we can meet our own needs rather than relyingnon someone else to provide for us. What if our sexual needs are not met from a partner that looks at other women & watch p*** to get off, but does not have sex with their other half & leaves them for long periods of time? Apart from doing 'whatever' to ourselves (which is no different to what the partner is doing or go & have an affair) how can that emotional need be met??
